Deceptively fast and furious with the ball, brazenly aggressive with the bat (strike rate of 92 would attest that fact), he combats fiercely to put his inescapable signature on every game. A hunter by design, he might bleed a few extra runs but in the end he will devour the prey. As a testament to his insatiable appetite for hapless preys, he will be the first to scale the 100 wickets peak. Unsurprisingly he will be the fastest to sprint to the peak as well, while the rest of the herd climbs at a retarded pace.

A team man at heart with an insurmountable spirit to battle against all odds, bowls like a blitz, bats like a thunderbolt and is electrifying on the field. He personifies speed and action in everything he does.

TCA proudly presents this inimitable Bhola XI all arounder in our second chapter of candid glimpses.

1. Share your history with TCA, when did you first play a TCA tournament, what was the experience, any special memories from the first year with TCA?

I don't remember the actual date I started playing in TCA. However, it has been a long cricket journey for me in TCA. I have bounced around between two most- talented and spirited teams in Bhola XI and Stars CC. TCA as a cricket community has brought together many Indian cricket lovers together, and TCA has bonded them in friendship. I would also say that, since my addition to the TCA, I have made many friends whom I can be involved with on and off the ground.

2. You have played more than 50 games over the last 3-4 years, how do you think the teams/players have changed over these years?

Competition in TCA is getting better and better. As a cricket lover, I always feel that a good competition produces a good cricket match. In the recent years, all the teams a have emerged as competitors. They are all capable of playing a competitive match every time.

3. What do you like the most/least about your team,

In my personal opinion, Bhola XI is a fun team to play with. At times, Bhola XI does come out as aggressive; however, as a team, Bhola XI, has always shown good sportsmanship towards all other teams. On the fun side, Bhola XI has a walking-talking stat guru (Chirag Patel) in the team which makes every single game a memory. It is amazing that he can remember accurately all the stats about the teammates from past.

4. What is your most cherished moment in TCA?

Most cherished moment for me was when my team won the Royal Cup last year. It was a great moment, and we as team would like to repeat that at next level very soon.

5. Any batsmen in TCA that makes bowling challenging for you? WHY?

Never, my captain put faith in me to bowl hard, fast and furious. I never look at who is batting against me. I just step on the pitch and deliver what I am asked for.

6. Any bowler in TCA that makes batting challenging for you? WHY?

Same goes for my batting, my teams faith is the main challenge for me to succeed in batting, bowling and fielding.

7. Which team do you enjoy playing against the most? WHY?

As I said, all the teams in TCA are competitive. Still, I do enjoy playing against Warriors, Catalysters and Stars. All these teams get my vote because on the ground, they are true sporting teams. On the ground, All 11 players of these teams show sportsmanship.

8. If you were to change one moment in one of the 60 games you have played, what would it be and WHY?

I would like to change my last ball against some batsman from Yorkers. It was a tough day for Bhola XI batting department. Batting first, we had scored 54 runs on Centerville ground. Yorkers needed 55runs to win in 20overs. We all bowled well, and at one point, I had bowled 23 dot balls. However, last ball of my spell (Yorker needing some 16 runs from 13 balls) went for the maximum. I wish I could change that last ball to see my team in Final and winning League Championship 2008.

9. Hypothetically speaking, you are the captain of a team (build your own dream team). It is the finals of the 2009 Open tournament. Your team has lost 5 wickets for 25 runs in 10 overs chasing a target of 82 runs to win. Which 5 batsmen in TCA would you pick to script a victory?

Neeraj Singh ( I have known him for long, seen him bat, he can change any game batting wise)
Amol Pai ( He is the most dependable batsman in TCA )
Nihir Parikh ( I am here as an all rounder because all the efforts he has put through to make me improve)
Hardik Thakkar ( He has a sound all around game )
Subhash P ( I got to have one left handed batsman, Subhash is the choice because, he rotates strike at will )

10. Hypothetically speaking, you are the captain of a team (build your own dream team). It is the finals of the 2009 KO tournament. Your team is defending a total of 43 runs against an enviable batting line up on JH-1. Which 5 bowlers in TCA would you pick to run through the opposition and win the trophy.

Here, I got to say first, you know I am going to bowl my 4 overs. (Just kidding)

Chirag Patel (Deadliest spinner I saw in TCA)
Tridivesh (Consistent line and length and most economical in this kind of situation)
Raj (Warriors)
Harish (Chennai)
Krumil Patel (Kasturi Pade)

11. Your message for the TCA community ?

Keep on going, TCA has been doing great job in bringing together Indian throughout the bay area. All I wish is that we grow exponentially and continue to be as competitive as we are right now.
Good luck to all the TCA teams.

" Himesh equals 100%... consistently. So much extra energy.... that you continuously need to calm him down. With controlled aggression...he is lethal for any batsman. No comparision for his yorkers and out cutters. Be ready to be cursed and thrashed if you mess up in catching, fielding, or throwing...while Himesh is bowling. He puts extra efforts in each delivery and demands the same from his fielders. He is an assett for Bhola XI."....Samit Shah

"Privileged to play alongside a player who is intensed and focused on only thing, winning the game for BHOLAXI.NEVER SAY NEVER DIE attitude. There cannot be other Himesh. proud to be a captain of the team for which Himesh plays.".... Nihir Parikh

"Stare of Andrew Flintoff and Bowling like Wasim Akram. Fiery, lethal, and mind boggling person who infuses positive purpose and brings attitude to the team that desperately needs it." ............Chirag Patel

"how do you feel being Himesh's teammate?-SAB SE BADA KHILADI
how is he as a player?-KHILADIYON KA KHILADI
what are the good qualities about him as a player and teammate?-JOSHILA
How does himesh compare to others in team or TCA?- SHARIF BADHSHAH" .....Dhruv Patel
