Champions are new SRCA Spring 2011 champions

“A victory at SRCA - San Ramon chapter.  It does have a special meaning for every SRCA team.  Victory is always sweet. It has an encouraging and electrifying effect on the winning side. It may seem ridiculous to imagine that victory may not have positive consequences. The first major casualty of success is reflection and retrospection, a very vital ingredient. One does not find many a thoughtful faces on a victory lap or deep furrows on the forehead while lifting a trophy.

The team - Champions has had the fortune of being a victorious side this time. It has recorded spectacular results in Spring 2011 season. Although inconsistent in the beginning of the season, they came back strong and undefeated. It was only after a thrashing against tigers that the post mortem was conducted and only after a serious problem was diagnosed that a remedy was suggested.

Remedy - Go with player’s potency.

Ofcourse cricket in here is played for fun & sport. Apart from that team - Champions understood one of the core facts of cricket, “It is all about pressure. You need to know how to deal with it”. Our team got valuable motivators & supporters, who are always there to help the team to come up well before match and also during tough situations.

Team - Champions haven’t lost any match thereafter. This victory is bound to give us a feeling that everything is fine and we can jolly well continue the way we are. All the past season defeats and humiliations will be forgiven and forgotten.  In this season, team - Champions has won 9, lost 1, Tie 1 with Net DRR of 2.15 which is way above than the second best Net DRR of 1.44 by Rockers. Team - Champions scored total points of 166 which is also… way above than the second top points of 131 by Nawaabs.

In this season every Champions frontline batsman has performed brilliantly. A solid middle order batting and a furious tail end batting showed our ‘batting continuity spirit’. If our batting is admirable, then I would say our bowling attack is commendable. The top class bowling attacks are our stepping stones towards championship. Did I forget something? Yes I am! It’s our fielding sector. Our impressive fielding is the strong wall to secure our winning spirit thru out the season.

After all, more than just good team players, we champions played this season with a gang of cool friends.

We are glad to say… Team-Champions is well balanced.

And proud to shout, “Goooooooo… Champions!!!”
